Seller: laplagne (4,234) 100%, Location: Lymm, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 392175575956 Description: A rare and very intricate silk weaving made to promote the Independent Order of Oddfellows - Manchester Unity (a Friendly Society) It was made on a Jacquard loom in the style of a Stevengraph. It is possible that this was once a part of a banner or sash. The manufacturer is unknown but the likely candidates are Thomas Stevens or Henry Slingsby (of Nuneaton) Provenance: This was an exhibited at the Silk Museum, Macclesfield. Condition: There is some colour fading and some ageing on the silk (as images) - the mount is not original. Size: The weaving measures 4.5 x 8 inches approximately and the card mount 8 x 10.5 inches Postage: UK £1.50 (second class); Europe £3.50 (approx €5) & Rest of the World (including USA) £8.00 (circa $20.50).
